Emma Hooks is a New York and D.C.-based American-Irish actor, writer, and director. Originally from Long Island, Emma has been performing since she was four years old. At 15, she appeared alongside her sister and father on ABC's hit show, Shark Tank, where they secured a business deal with Lori Greiner. She has since appeared on many more episodes of Shark Tank and co-hosted live broadcasts on QVC.
She holds a B.A. in Theatre Performance and Broadcast Journalism from American University, and has studied with the British American Drama Academy in London. She also holds a Recommended Pass in Unarmed Stage Combat from the Society of American Fight Directors. Some of her favorite roles to date include Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), Mary Tudor (Maryland Renaissance Festival), and Iago (Othello).
While her main focus has always been acting, particularly Shakespeare, she also has cultivated a great passion for writing and directing. She is currently querying her debut fantasy romance novel, Sentinel, and her adaptation of Middleton and Rowley's revenge-tragedy The Changeling has been produced by multiple theaters.
